He completed his secondary education back in 1976 and first worked as a teacher and later as a court clerk. He later changed from writing “to my current suitable field,media painting”. At first, he painted on anything that came his way from personal wear to plastic sheets. Currently he boasts as a successful professional artist represented by the famous Gallery in Eastern Africa,Gallery Watatu as well as the Gallery of Contemporary East African Art at the National Museum of Kenya. He also owns a Studio Gallery and conducts communal art workshops and as well as work with students. His paintings are with many private collectors of contemporary art with notables like Jacques Soulilou, Robert Loder of the triangle Artist Network etc
